Services expansion
eShop has been expanding their services and wanted to describe and present their offering in a specific desired way. It had to be custom made due to system being used.
Custom services information on eShop
Properly looking pages had to be made for description of services being offered. It had to be done on managed eCommerce system.
System designed mainly for listing products, not presentations
This system is not designed for presentations, therefore its abilities are significantly limited or at least less convenient compared to systems made for such purpose. As it is managed system it is not supposed to be modified and mainly only what is available can be used.
Static pages
Previously made custom designed pages were used as a reference point as they were already previously approved as suitable. Some elements and parts were reused to make static HTML with CSS and some JS pages which made process slightly quicker. They were almost completely made without using functions of built-in editor of the system as it did not properly have required capabilities. What it did have though is products import.
Interactivity and display
Lightbox JS library was used for showing images gallery with ability to see in full resolution and conveniently switch between them. It was already embedded in to the system and/or template.
Lightbox
Even though there is no option to use it via the editor, it is being used for images of products and in articles. Contact button which shows form like lightbox was also reused from previous pages. Besides, lightbox is being used for showing images on this website as well.
Slider
Slick JS library for sliders is also in the system. There is no option to use it in the editor either, but it is being used for showing ads via the system.
Custom made desired presentation despite limits
The main reason for making custom pages is that it was wanted to make specifically designed presentation of services description with certain functionalities to achieve specific desired look which cannot be easily and conveniently enabled and/or used via the system due to its limitations. It is mainly made for simply listing products, not elaborate descriptions.
For example, it was desired to have 2 products per line while the system allows only at least 3. Also, the change would be not only in specific part. Even though product import functionality of editor does allow 2 products per line, such use case is less automatic as it has to be manually modified each time product listing has to be replaced, for example.
